Our Mission (“What We Do”)
To promote the family division of the circuit court and emphasize its importance to the welfare and benefit of the children of our State as the original treatment court. To carry out the purpose of the creation of the family division and ensure the law creating it is followed. To work towards the improvement of the court system to best serve the children of our State. To have highly qualified, knowledgeable, and well-trained hearing officers and judges in the family division, who are committed to service to the families and children of the State of
Michigan. To ensure that families are entitled to have one judge handle the complex matters affecting their family
How You Can Get Involved
1. Attend Family Law Council meetings.
2. Join the Dedicated Family Court Committee by emailing a co-chair and attending our meetings
3. Join a work group to assist with identified projects
