What We Do
The Amicus Committee is responsible for recommending positions on and writing Amicus Curiae briefs in selected family law related cases in the Michigan Courts, usually at the Supreme Court level.
How You Can Get Involved
The first step is to be a Family Law Section Member (you are not required to be a council member), then contact either person above. We believe more great minds is best
When & How We Meet
We typically meet the third Wednesday of every month at 3:00 pm, although those times and days may vary. We also meet, as needed, to discuss more imminent issues or as the need arises. The meetings are presently being held by Zoom.
