The Real Property Law Section is pleased to announce that the 2025 Winter Conference will be held at the Omni Nashville.  Enjoy a memorable trip to Music City at the Omni which is adjacent to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and is centrally located near Broadway. This downtown Nashville hotel offers convenient access to Ryman Auditorium, Music City Center, Bridgestone Arena, and the Johny Cash Museum.  There is something for everyone.

The 2025 RPLS Winter Conference will feature experts from Michigan and Tennessee looking to get attendees up to speed on one hot legal topic after another!  The Program will kick off with some local flavor highlighting some fascinating issues that are accompanying Nashville’s explosive growth.  Our next speaker will share some experiences from his career involving unique oil and gas issues from which any practitioner can benefit.  Then, we’ll hear about the state of the industrial market in Michigan with some comparisons to the Nashville boom.  The first day will wrap up with a presentation regarding shortfalls and issues with Michigan’s aging Land Division Act.  The second day will kick off with a practical view of the interplay of commercial lease and insurance terms in the event of a fire loss.  Next, we’ll enjoy a presentation about Michigan’s tax increment financing programs focusing on MSHDA’s new statutory framework.  And, we wrap it all up with our bi-annual legislative update.  A lot has been going on in Lansing!  This will be an informative and engaging program which will offer something of interest to everyone and an excellent opportunity to network with your fellow Section members.  We look forward to seeing you there!

The Section would like to thank Brian T. Lang, Warner Norcross & Judd for planning this program.
