Program Description: The novel coronavirus has changed the world as we know it. But this change is not entirely without precedent: in 1918, a strain of influenza infected one-third of the world’s population and claimed millions of lives. Join us for a presentation on the 1918 flu that will offer context for, and unique insight into, our current circumstances and times to come. Our program will then continue with a lively discussion of how the pandemic has affected the real estate market, the public health and policy implications of changing use standards and protocols, legal issues coming to the forefront in the wake of massive business and real estate disruption, and other risks and opportunities we may see in the coming year.
