New this year is a separate Family Law Half-Day Conference, presented virtually, on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Proposals are now being accepted for this virtual half-day Family Law Conference. Presentations may cover any aspect of family mediation. Your segment may be an update, a demonstration, a technique presentation, practice management topic, a skill-building exercise, a set of ethical challenges, or any other matter you believe would be an advanced family mediation skill-building presentation. Each presentation will be 50 minutes in length.
The final decision as to topics and presenters will be made by the ADR Skills Action Team. The ADR Section is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion, which should be considered when selecting panel members, demonstrations, and skills-building exercises.
Proposals are due by April 4, 2025, will be reviewed by members of the Skills Action Team, who will decide which proposals will be accepted.
Proposals should include:
· Your name, phone number, and email address.
· Nature of your topic including proposed agenda (bullet points).
· Name(s) and contact information of speaker(s).
· An explanation of how your proposed presentation will be interactive: a presentation, an interactive exercise, panel discussion, Zoom polling, or other format.
· A description of learning objective-takeaways, teaching points, identification of skills to be improved by the presentation.
· Assistance you may require with a virtual presentation, such as instruction on the use of PowerPoint, Zoom Share Screen, etc.
