(CANCELLED) Taxation: Spotlight: ERISA in the Supreme Court

The U.S. Supreme Court in January heard oral arguments in Thole v U.S. Bank, N.A., and the panel’s forthcoming opinion on the case later this year will conclude its most recent foray into ERISA. Join the SBM Taxation Section’s Employee Benefits Committee for a discussion on past and current Supreme Court ERISA decisions. Leading the conversation are professors Dana Muir, David Pratt, and Andrew Stumpff, who have drafted and submitted several amicus briefs to the Supreme Court on ERISA matters. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with networking, small bites, and an open bar. The panel discussion begins at 6 p.m.

Parking
Hazel, Ravines, and Downtown is located in downtown Birmingham, Michigan at the corner of Maple Rd and Peabody St. The closest parking garage is just south of the restaurant on Peabody St. All parking garages in Birmingham offer free 2-hour parking. There is also limited metered street parking near the restaurant.
