Many practitioners face microaggressions, whether due to gender, race, ethnicity, or other characteristics. Join us for an afternoon workshop that will focus on how to recognize and address microaggressions, and how to cultivate resilience and strength by creating allies. This interactive workshop experience will be led by Melinda Briana Epler, a nationally recognized expert in these areas. Ms. Epler has two podcast episodes on microaggressions-- “Recognizing & Overcoming Microaggressions – Part 1” and “Recognizing & Overcoming Microaggressions – Part 2”-- and she has written on how to create workplace allies in her book, “How to Be An Ally: Actions you Can Take for a Stronger, Happier Workplace.” Ms. Epler also has a very popular TED Talk and a current podcast called Leading With Empathy & Allyship

The workshop will be followed by an engaging panel discussion. A social hour with light appetizers, wine, and mocktails will conclude the afternoon.
