Barry Brickner has been a licensed attorney in the State of Michigan for fifty years. He has been influential in the field of law practice management, has served in many state and national leadership roles, and is considered a mentor to many. Barry has authored many articles on law office management and other legal subjects, including an article published in 1997 in the ABA Law Practice Management Journal, "Being Solo and Other Ravings of a Lunatic." This article provides the reader with a road map and brief overview of the business aspects of practicing law. It has served as a great introduction for those who venture into the solo world. For those who know Barry, he is a smart, kind, witty, humble, and down-to-earth person who is a very respected lawyer. Barry has been in solo practice for more than 45 years in Farmington Hills, Michigan, where he focuses primarily on real estate and business matters. He is also an active member of his community and has served on the City Council and as Mayor of Farmington Hills.
