SCOTUS Bar Admissions Ceremony

The State Bar of Michigan Young Lawyers Section (SBM YLS) is pleased to host a SCOTUS Bar Admissions Ceremony on Monday, November 27, 2017, in Washington DC. Section members are invited to participate in this event. Admission is open to any attorney in good standing who has been in practice at least three years, but space is limited to the first twelve (12) individuals who register.

The admissions ceremony will be preceded by a breakfast buffet in the Courthouse. Participants in small group ceremonies are typically sworn-in in front of the entire sitting U.S. Supreme Court. Please note that each applicant is limited to one guest to the ceremony.

Please note that each applicant is responsible for all costs (i.e. application fee, transportation, food, and lodging) and for filling out the application materials, which can be located on the Court’s website. The SBM YLS will collect all application materials and the $240/$280 (application and breakfast costs) fee and forward them to the U.S. Supreme Court Bar on behalf of the participants of the small group ceremony.
