A Panel Discussion on Representing Survivors of Assault

February 25, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Our panel will include:

  • Jessica Bertollini of #happyperioddetroit—Introduction and discussion of the movement for feminine hygiene products in shelters
  • Heidi Sharp of Burgess Sharp & Golden, PLLC—Issues unique to representing survivors of assault in labor and employment issues
  • William Knight of Lakeshore Legal Aid and Ashley Lowe of Wayne State University Law School—Issues unique to representing survivors of assault in family court, landlordtenant matters, and criminal matters
  • Sara Dobbyn of Turning Point—Safety planning: considerations for all practitioners

Seating is limited, so save your seat by registering today.

Feminine hygiene products are among the most needed items in women’s shelters, yet are the least frequently donated. We are therefore asking for a donation of feminine hygiene products in lieu of a registration fee (to be collected at the time of the event). Donations will benefit Turning Point, a shelter in Macomb County.
