Agenda
2:30–5:30 p.m. Interactive Seminar
Join us as Kimberly Papillon, Esq., leads us in an interactive seminar exploring what emerging neuroscience research reveals about how unconscious processes affect our daily decision-making. The goal of this seminar is to help us better understand the geneses of implicit preferences and identify methods that can help support sound decision-making related to employment. This training will be beneficial to law firm practitioners, in-house counsel, human resources professionals, public sector attorneys, and the judiciary in their roles as advocates, decision-makers, and employers/employees. If you are a law firm practitioner, this is also a great seminar to invite a client to attend with you.

Ms. Papillon is a nationally recognized expert on the subject of decision-making in law, education, and business. She has served as a regular faculty member at the National Judicial College since 2005. Ms. Papillon has delivered over 200 lectures nationally and internationally on the implications of neuroscience, psychology, and implicit association in the analysis of decision-making. She has been appointed to the National Center for State Courts, National Training Team on Implicit Bias, which is a “think tank” for national judicial education. She has presented to the American Bar Association and regularly lectures to attorneys in private firms and corporations. Ms. Papillon has also provided presentations to the judges of numerous international and U.S. federal and state courts, and many other national judicial organizations, as well as several federal agencies, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Department of Education.
