DRE Impaired Driving: What You Need to Know
Washtenaw County Sherriff Brian Webb, Drug Recognition Expert (DRE)

Drug recognition training enhances a police officer’s ability to identify, evaluate, and document suspected drug impairment. Crashes involving drugs continue to grow in Michigan. Legislation signed by Governor Snyder created a roadside drug testing pilot program in 2016. DRE Deputy Webb will discuss the program, its future, and impaired driving prosecution support.

2017 Speed Limit Changes—Coming Up Fast in Your Rear View Mirror

Public Act 445 of 2016 required that MDOT and MSP selected freeway and non-freeway corridors targeted for speed increases have modified speed limits in place prior to January 5, 2018.
