The Hazardous Substances & Brownfields Committee of the Environmental Law Section is pleased to invite you to participate in this scheduled webinar.

"A 'significant public health threat' is brewing in Michigan because of chemical vapors that percolate up from the ground of former industrial or commercial sites and can leak into nearby homes,” said Department of Environmental Quality Director Heidi Grether. Detroit News/mLive.com, February 16, 2017.

This one-hour webinar presents issues in responding to potential vapor intrusion at occupied buildings, including those where prompt decisive action may be needed.

The state government and private sector presenters have significant experience in this topic. They are:

  • David O’Donnell, Michigan DEQ, Grand Rapids RRD Supervisor
  • Abigail Hendershott, Michigan DEQ, Grand Rapids RRD Assistant Supervisor
  • Megan Napier, P. E., of AKT Peerless.

There will be a second VI webinar in mid-April, focusing on current VI issues in transactional due diligence and due care. Watch for an e-mail announcement providing details.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing information about joining the webinar.
